The best time to visit Dooars is from October to March which is the most suitable time to visit. When the temperature remains pleasant and the temperature is not as hot as compared to summer in mid-June and August. The culture in Dooars is very diverse; different types of communities live together in peace and harmony here. Places to visit in Dooars

Chilapota Forest

The Chilapota Forest is very dense forest which is located near Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary in Dooars. It has become one of the favourite Tourist destination for many of the visitors. You can visit it by proper permission of Forest Department and accompanied by approved guide. It the best place for adventure and peace.

Gorumara National Park

Lataguri town in Dooars is the gateway to the Gorumara National Park, popularly famous for the Rhino and Elephant population. Another entry for the National Pak is Murti which is less crowded compared to the Latagiri side but worth its beauty.

Jaldapara and Madarihat

Jaldapra is another National Park in this area with its vast grassland and riverside. Besides the Rhino and Elephant Jaldapara is known for its several faunal species. You can find Birds like Bengali Florican, Crested eagle, Fishing Eagle Pied Hornbill, etc. Here Madarihat is a small town that acts as a gateway to this National Park.

Buxa Tiger Reserve

This place is at the northeast corner of West Bengal at the Indo – Bhutan Border. The Buxa was declared Tiger Reserve in 1983 and a National Park in 1992. It has the second heights tiger population after Sunderban in West Bengal. The Buxa Tiger is one of the best places to visit if you're a nature lover and love getting surrounded by nature then this place is for you.

Jayanti

It is one of the major popular destinations in the Dooars area. Here river Jayanti creates the river border between Bhutan and India and is one of the most tourists visited places in Dooars. There are several trekking trails with a quant view. It is crowned the `Queen of Dooars' because of its amazing beauty.

Jaigaon

Dooars is one of the immense parts of geo-political important places as it forms chicken legs which connect northeast to rest of the India. From the North, Dooars is boarded with Bhutan, and from the South, Dooars is boarded with Bangladesh. Jaigaon is the last place in India from where you can enter another country Bhutan by road to Phuentsholing.

Gajaldoba

This place is new upcoming and going to be the biggest tourist destination in the Dooars area. Located on the western side of Tessta River the place and the dam were already the place for the migratory birds the barrage and the surrounding area is the home to several animals and birds. Shortly, these are going to be one of the high-end tourist destinations in North Bengal, because of their developing infrastructure.
